With a passion for beauty that spans over 35 years, I am Cathy, the proud Stylist and Co-Owner of Salon 14-A. My journey in the Beauty Industry began as a cosmetologist, where I immersed myself in every facet of this dynamic profession, working diligently behind the chair.
In 1990, fueled by a commitment to sharing my knowledge, I pursued a 900-hour course in Instructor Training. Graduating with distinction, I became a Licensed Instructor for a decade at The HeadQuarters Academy of HairDesign. During my tenure as an Instructor, I also took on the ownership of a salon, balancing full-time responsibilities at the academy and part-time commitments at the salon. This period of ownership spanned 21 years, building an employee-based salon before my journey led me to the beautiful Black Hills in 2015.
The transition to Deadwood marked a new chapter, and opening Salon 14-A has been a delightful experience. This venture has allowed me to connect with individuals from all walks of life, creating a salon space that embraces diversity and celebrates unique stories.
For me, the true joy in this profession lies in more than just aesthetics. It’s about making people not only look their best but feel better about the way they look. I find immense satisfaction in the transformative power of beauty and the positive impact it has on each individual’s confidence and self-esteem.
I am passionate about my profession, and I bring that love into every client interaction. Join me at Salon 14-A, where beauty is not just a service but an art, and every client is a canvas waiting to be adorned.
I can’t wait to welcome you to our salon!
